NQTs undertaking induction on a full time, part time, or long-term supply basis

If induction is being undertaken whilst in regular employment, regardless of whether the employment is on a permanent, temporary, or supply basis, the school has a statutory obligation to provide the NQT with induction support.

This section contains information for schools who are supporting a NQT and ensures that:

• initial data is collected, collated, and shared by us with all parties involved in the NQTs induction period
• all relevant parties have access to the NQT’s online induction profile
• schools are able to access induction funding
• accurate data is recorded in relation to the number of sessions completed by the NQT

If the notification form is not submitted, this will result in:

• the school losing out on induction funding
• the EWC being unable to maintain an accurate record of the induction sessions completed which could have a detrimental impact on the completion of induction
• relevant parties unable to access the NQTs online induction profile
