A Fitness to Practise Committee of the Education Workforce Council (EWC), sitting remotely on 3-6 March 2025, has found allegations of ‘unacceptable professional conduct’ proved against youth worker, Carly Rogers.
The Fitness to Practise Committee found the following allegations proven, that whilst employed as a Drug and Alcohol Worker at Wrexham County Borough Council, Ms Rogers performance, between October and December 2022, required improvement in the following areas:
- appointments with young people
- case notes
- case files
- closures
- diary management.
The Fitness to Practise Committee imposed a Reprimand on Ms Rogers’ registration as a youth worker for a period of 2 years (from 6 March 2025 to 6 March 2027). As such, Ms Rogers will be able to work as a registered person (youth worker) who provides youth development services for or on behalf of a relevant employer (other than as a volunteer, and subject to the exclusion set out under Regulation 4(2)).
Ms Rogers has the right of appeal to the High Court within 28 days.
