26 November 11:00-12:30
Join us for an insightful policy briefing, where we will shine a light on the crucial role of learning support workers (LSW) within schools across Wales.
We will showcase the latest data from the EWC Register, and explore key issues affecting LSWs. The event will cover critical topics such as recruitment and retention, deployment, Welsh language capacity, workforce diversity, and professional learning, and some of the challenges faced by the workforce.
Following the main presentation, we will welcome a panel of experts, who include LSWs with expertise in the secondary sector and special educational needs, to give honest reflections of their roles in their settings, and more generally across Wales.
The event will conclude with a Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to ask questions about the data, our policy, or to the expert panel.
This event is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge, and contribute to the conversation around the increasing role of LSWs in education in Wales. It is suitable for education leaders and senior staff, policy makers, and EWC registrants.
