Congratulations to all our newly qualified teachers in Wales
Congratulations to all our newly qualified teachers in Wales

The Education Workforce Council (EWC) is delighted to congratulate those who achieved Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) today.

This significant milestone marks the beginning of a rewarding journey in the teaching profession.

Achieving QTS is a testament to the hard work, commitment, and resilience demonstrated by each newly qualified teacher (NQT). It reflects their dedication to mastering the skills and knowledge required to inspire and educate future generations.

EWC Chief Executive, Hayden Llewellyn said “A huge congratulations to everyone receiving QTS today.

“Teachers have a significant impact on the lives of learners and young people, as well as the broader education profession.

“As the independent, professional regulator for the education workforce in Wales, we are committed to supporting you throughout your career, offering resources and guidance to help you thrive in your roles.

“We wish you every success in the future.”

For those moving into their first role as a school teacher, it is important to remember that you must be registered with the EWC, in the correct category, before you can begin working in Wales. As a NQT in Wales, you will also need to complete a period of statutory induction within five years of gaining your QTS.

If you’re still searching for that first role, Educators Wales features the highest number of vacancies from across Wales’ education sector.
