New suite of case study videos showcasing the PLP launched

The Education Workforce Council (EWC) has created a series of case study videos to showcase how the Professional Learning Passport (PLP) is helping organisations in Wales support their staff’s professional learning and development.

The collection of four videos (available with both Welsh and English subtitles) features inputs from a variety of educational institutions, showcasing the versatility of the PLP to adapt to the unique requirements of any organisation.

Fully bilingual, the PLP is an online e-portfolio which has been designed to elevate staff professional development by supporting them to capture, reflect, share, and plan their professional experiences and learning.

Free to applicable organisations in Wales with no contracts, it offers a flexible option at a time when budgets are being squeezed.

Publishing the suite of videos, Bethan Holliday-Stacey, Director of Professional Development, Accreditation and Policy said “The PLP is a world leading product which offers a wealth of opportunity for organisations to help empower their staff to take ownership of their professional learning and development.

“Being fully online makes it easier than ever to facilitate effective collaboration and feedback with staff. What’s more, it’s streamlined process for storing and accessing documents will eliminate the need for paper filing or emailed documents.

“If your organisation is interested in working with us, or would like a demo, get in touch.”

The PLP can be tailored to meet the specific needs of any organisation, with the option to design bespoke templates and reports. It also supports staff to engage with their professional standards, making it an invaluable resource for those working in Wales.
